Textured Grey Contemporary

Norwalk, Connecticut

This small, compact kitchen was renovated into a spacious, contemporary masterpiece.

The main focus of this design was on a lofted ceiling as a focal point.
Mary-Beth Oliver, the designer on the project, chose textural, light grey colored cabinet doors with natural wood shelving in a lightly stained walnut for subtle contrast. She also designed the range wall to have floating shelves with integrated lighting and a decorative Onyx France backsplash. A glass slider to the patio was closed up and replaced with a window to match the modern style of the space. Around the corner, Mary-Beth also created a sink wall with the island at the heart of the room. The existing stained glass floral pattern on the range wall window was replaced with clear glass and walnut trim to replicate a picture frame.
