This fresh and bright new kitchen began its evolution by replacing and doubling the size of the existing window and removing the heavy cabinets above the range. The existing refrigerator was relocated to the oven wall and replaced by 66” of Wolf Subzero refrigerator/freezer columns to accommodate the needs of this growing young family. On this same wall, a non-functional desk area was replaced with built in drawer cabinets, and 3” thick walnut floating shelves with integrated, dimmable lighting.

The island has taken on new life and importance, now centered on all three of these new focal points. With new wainscot side panels to replace the existing dated island posts, it is now anchored and has a gorgeous 2” high mitered, quartzite countertop. In addition to these renovations, the 90’s terra cotta floor tile was ripped out and replaced with a large scale matte, taupey-gray, modern textured porcelain. Similar in color to the island cabinet finish of Vintage Silver Mist.

Visible from the dining room, the bar was designed to complement the sophisticated color palette of the adjoining rooms. It is finished in Vintage Silver Mist with a Premium Walnut interior. All walls are faux painted in luxurious layers of deep texture, and the stunning Mother of Pearl mosaic backsplash completes the look, as it glimmers like a fine piece of elegant jewelry.
